The Seattle Flute Society’s annual all-day, all-building festival includes a group warm-up, workshop, and concert featuring celebrated jazz flutist Jim Walker, dubbed “Renaissance Man of the Flute.” Walker is former principal flutist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and current Professor of Practice and coordinator of Flute Studies at the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music and instructor of flute and chamber music at The Colburn Conservatory of Music. Also on the program: a flute trade show with vendors from around the country, flute choir performances, and a Young Members recital. Presented by the Seattle Flute Society.
Festival admission (does not include the recital and workshop with Jim Walker) $10/$5 students and SFS members; $25 for all-day festival pass including recital and workshop/$15 SFS members/$10 students, cash or check only at the door beginning at 10:30 am.
