Advance tickets for this event have SOLD OUT; join Book Larder’s waitlist for tickets hereOne of the world’s greatest chefs is sharing his secrets. Spain’s Ferran Adria, chef of the famous elBulli restaurant, has published the 7-volume set elBulli 2005-2011, chronicling the restaurant’s final years through a whopping 750 recipes. More than a cookbook, it documents the restless creative process of this “wizard of gastronomy”–so restless that in 2011 Adria closed the restaurant to focus on unfettered experimentation. Part interactive museum, part laboratory/“culinary think tank,” the new elBulli Foundation will be up and running in 2015.

Tickets for the event are only $12, but $700 includes a copy of the $625 book and access to a private reception with Adria, catered by The Walrus and The Carpenter and Gramercy Cellars.

Presented by: Book Larder.
Tickets: $12 for author talk only; $700 for reception, author talk and copy of the $625 book.
Doors open: 6 p.m.
Learn more: Listen to Adria’s 2011 talk at Harvard.
