ChefSteps founders Chris Young\, co-author of Modernist Cuisine&#058 The Art and Science of Cooking\, and Grant Crilly\, former Modernist Cuisine development chef\, show how a basic understanding of your ingredients can improve your everyday\, and extraordinary\, meals. Using live demos and original videos and photography by Ryan Matthew Smith\, Young and Crilly explore the surprising science of everyday cooking through a virtual tour of Seattle’s Pike Place Market. Market purveyors also are on hand for the talk (as well as before and after for tastes and questions in the lobby)\, and Seattle’s Book Larder sells delicious cookbooks (perfect for the foodies on your holiday gift list). Presented by ChefSteps with Town Hall.
