Cartoonist Ellen Forney, this fall’s Artist in Residence, joins forces with Cornish College theater professor Kathleen Collins to guide a dynamic, interactive workshop exploring the analogous skills and concepts that fuel their apparently disparate artistic mediums. “There’s so much acting in comics!” Forney says. “A cartoonist has to be the writer, director, and all the actors – just on paper.” No matter your preferred medium/practice—performance, literary, visual arts— breaching traditional boundaries enriches our experience of creating and understanding. Note: please bring a sketchbook and your favorite pen or pencil, and wear comfy clothes.

Presented by: Town Hall as part of the Arts & Culture series, with University Book Store. Sponsored by City Arts.
Tickets: Admission is free, but RSVPs are encouraged via the Buy Tickets link below.
Doors open: 7 pm.
Town Hall member benefits: Priority seating.
