MahoganyBrowneIn Seattle Poetry Slam’s biggest show of the year, the top poets from a season of competitions throw down one last time to determine who will qualify for the four-member team of performance poets to represent Seattle at August’s National Poetry Slam in Boston. The all-ages Seattle Grand Slam features a performance by poet and publisher Mahogany Browne, an Urban Word NYC mentor, as seen on HBO’s Brave New Voices, along with a showcase of some of the best performers to have graced the stage at weekly slams, and a tribute to the late great Jack McCarthy. Presented by Seattle Poetry Slam.
Advance tickets are $15/$10 under 21, at www.brownpapertickets.com. Doors open at 7 pm.  Great Hall; enter on Eighth Avenue.
