Just Garden
Special Programming, Town Hall News

Town Hall’s Day of Service will work with Just Garden to build raised bed gardens for low-income families at their homes and community centers in the Mount Baker neighborhood of Seattle. Volunteers will gather at Mount Baker Full Life Care at 9 a.m. to share a light breakfast and coffee while the Just Garden team introduces the event. The garden building typically lasts until around 1 p.m. and once finished, volunteers will return to Mount Baker Full Life Care for a lunch celebration. Volunteers may also have the opportunity to learn a little more about organic gardening practices. Tools, gloves, and warm-up exercises are provided at this free event, but be sure to wear sturdy shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Make new Town Hall friends or bring your besties in this powerful expression of generosity and community. Just Garden, a program of Seattle Tilth, works to build a just food system and gardening culture in the community by building subsidized gardens, educating gardeners, and engaging youth.

Presented by: Town Hall, as part of the Town Green series, sponsored by the Peach Foundation and Wyncote Foundation NW.
Tickets: Free, but space is limited so reserve your spot today via the “Buy Tickets” link in the bar below! The event length includes a light breakfast and post-project lunch.
