Now here’s a scientific concept you can really wrap your head around: the story of more than 300 animals skulls, from every perspective imaginable: historical, biographical, cultural, and iconographic. Best-selling author Simon Winchester (Krakatoa and the new Skulls) presents details about the parts of the skull; the science and pseudoscience of skulls; and skulls in religion, art, and popular culture, based on the collection of Alan Dudley, probably the largest and most complete private collection in the world. Presented as part of Seattle Science Lectures with the University Book Store, and The Burke Museum. Series sponsored by Microsoft. Series media sponsorship provided by KPLU. Support for this event is provided by UWAA.
